Meet Phil and clear the ambush
Go to Phil’s place and defeat the Mendez attackers. Enter Phil’s truck when instructed and head for Fort Baxter. Preserve your health for the base infiltration instead of standing exposed through the opening fight.

Get over the wall
Use the mission’s approach to jump into the base, then head toward the administration building. Avoid guards and searchlights while following the marked route. Moving directly across a lit open area is more likely to trigger trouble than using the available cover.

Open the helipad gate
Enter the administration building and find the control room. Activate the gate control, then leave promptly when told that the guards are preparing to move the Hunter. Do not spend the escape window exploring other rooms.

Steal and deliver the Hunter
Reach the helicopter before it takes off and take control. Climb clear of the base buildings, then fly to Diaz’s mansion. Slow down before the landing marker and bring the aircraft down intact to complete the final preparation.
Key point
Opening the gate starts the urgent part. Leave the control room immediately and follow the Hunter marker.
