Locate the threatened official
Follow the mission marker to the welfare official and his attackers. He needs to survive the encounter, so identify his vehicle before opening fire. Avoid explosives in a group where the protected target and enemies are close together.

Eliminate the thugs
Deal with the men trying to kill him. Prioritise the immediate attackers rather than shooting the official’s car. Stay mobile and use controlled fire until the mission changes from protection to intimidation.

Apply controlled pressure
When told to warn him off, pursue and threaten his vehicle as directed by the mission. Build the intimidation gradually and watch the objective feedback. The goal is to make him back down, not to turn a damaged car into a wreck.

Stop when the warning works
Ease off as soon as the intimidation requirement registers. Continuing to fire after the target has complied can needlessly endanger him. Let the concluding sequence play out to resolve Louise’s problem.
Key point
The official is not a kill target. Keep him alive during both the ambush and the intimidation that follows.
