Caida Libre splits the job between Michael’s mounted rifle and Trevor’s cross-country motorcycle pursuit. Gold is unforgiving about the opening shots and the bike: hit the aircraft with only three shots, reach the Sanchez’s top speed and stay seated throughout the chase.
Step-by-step walkthrough
-
Reach the rifle van and lead the plane
After meeting Martin, drive Michael to the observatory and enter the marked van. Use the mounted rifle to track the passing aircraft. Aim at the forward lead marker rather than directly at the moving engine.
Wait until the aim is settled before firing. Three successful shots bring the plane down, and One Two Three requires doing it with only those three shots. Firing an extra speculative round can lose the condition even if the aircraft is eventually hit.
-
Chase the descending aircraft on the Sanchez
As Trevor, follow the plane across the countryside. Keep it in view and use the marked chase route through the terrain. Build speed on the flatter stretches to satisfy Floor It, then ease off before rough landings and tight turns.
Glued to the Seat requires staying on the bike throughout the pursuit. Deliberately dismounting also fails it, so do not stop to change vehicles or walk around an obstacle.

-
Recover the files from the crash
Reach the crashed plane, deal with Javier and collect the marked documents inside. Follow the objective until Trevor’s part of the recovery is complete. The chase is over at this point; the earlier stay-on-bike condition does not mean ignoring the required collection on foot.
-
Destroy Michael’s van and meet Trevor
Control returns to Michael. Leave the rifle position in the van, move clear of the area and destroy the vehicle as instructed to remove the evidence. Stand far enough away from the explosion and have a way to continue travelling.
Trevor changes the meeting to the cement works. Follow that updated destination rather than returning blindly to Martin’s house. Complete the meeting to finish the mission and trigger the next stage of Michael and Trevor’s story.
Gold medal checklist
- Floor It: Reach the Sanchez’s top speed.
- Glued to the Seat: Do not fall off or voluntarily dismount during the motorcycle chase.
- One Two Three: Shoot down the aircraft using only three shots.
- Time: Finish within 9:45. Skip scenes and keep the evidence-disposal and final meeting routes direct.
Common questions
Why do shots aimed at the engine miss?
The aircraft is moving. Use the forward aiming marker to lead it and wait for a steady shot.
Why did the destination change after the files were recovered?
Trevor’s call changes the plan. Follow the new cement-works marker to complete the mission.
What happens next
