Masks supplies the crew’s face coverings for Blitz Play. Any suitable purchases can advance the preparation, but gold requires a white hockey mask for every character and all three purchases within 20 seconds. The required colour matters as much as the mask type.
Step-by-step walkthrough

Find the marked beach stall
Travel to the heist setup marker at Vespucci Beach and open the mask shop’s selection. You need three crew masks, not a single accessory for the currently controlled character. There is no need to bring the other two protagonists to the stall.

Select the white hockey mask three times
Locate the white hockey mask and purchase one for each character in the mission’s purchase sequence. Check that you have the white version rather than a different hockey-mask colour. Animal masks and other designs do not satisfy Cliché.
Keep the selections deliberate and quick. Face Time allows only 20 seconds, so browsing several categories after the timed purchase sequence starts can lose the medal even if the final masks are correct.
Buy the white hockey mask for all three crew members. -
Finish the setup and check the result
Complete the three purchases and wait for the setup confirmation. There is no delivery trip afterwards. If the result gives Cliché but not Face Time, repeat the same selections more quickly on a replay.
If you were fast enough but missed Cliché, revisit the colour and type selected for each character. One incorrect mask is enough to miss that condition.
