Blitz Play turns a roadblock into an armoured-truck robbery and a large police battle. Michael blocks the road, Franklin performs the ram and Trevor covers the crew from above. Gold asks for ten character switches, so use the changing threats as a reason to rotate between their positions.
Step-by-step walkthrough
-
Finish the getaway-car preparation
Before starting the finale, take a suitable getaway car to a secluded location accepted by the game. Watch for the on-screen confirmation that the spot is suitable, then use the phone contact option to mark the getaway location. Leave the car there.
A car parked nearby without the phone confirmation does not complete the preparation. The four named equipment missions also need to be finished before the crew can begin the ambush.
-
Block the road and ram the security truck
Meet at the FIB lot, change into the disguises and drive the Trashmaster to Cypress Flats. Position it across the marked road when Trevor spots the approaching armoured truck. Switch to Franklin and accelerate from the side street to ram the stopped target.
After the impact, place the sticky bomb on the rear doors. Move clear before detonating, then let Michael collect the contents. Avoid destroying the whole target with uncontrolled explosives.

Use all three characters to cover the police waves before the escape. -
Rotate between the three defensive positions
The robbery triggers police waves from the main road and the rear alley. Use the character with the best angle on each active threat, and respond to the calls about reinforcements and rooftop snipers. Michael’s special ability helps with accurate headshots, while Trevor’s elevated position is valuable against distant enemies.
Switch at least ten times for Switcher. Do it during useful tactical transitions rather than losing track of active enemies. Build the 12-headshot count with controlled fire and keep overall accuracy above 60%. When the helicopter appears, switch to Trevor and shoot it down for Hawk Down.
-
Destroy the Trashmaster at the getaway point
Once the escape opens, take Franklin in the Trashmaster to the car you positioned earlier. Park far enough from the getaway car that the explosion will not destroy both. Get out, attach a sticky bomb to the rubbish truck, move clear and detonate.
Enter the getaway car and leave the blast area. Follow the subsequent switch to Michael, who must deliver the stolen bonds to Devin Weston. The mission ends after that meeting, not when the Trashmaster explodes.
Gold medal checklist
- Hawk Down: Shoot down the helicopter while controlling Trevor.
- Headshots: Kill 12 enemies with headshots during the battle.
- Accuracy: Finish with at least 60% shooting accuracy.
- Switcher: Switch characters ten times during the mission.
Common questions
Why will Blitz Play not start after the four setups?
Check the getaway vehicle. You must leave a suitable car in an accepted secluded location and confirm the location through the phone option.
Why did the escape fail after destroying the truck?
Keep the getaway car outside the explosion’s reach. Destroying the car you need can ruin the escape.
