GTA 5 Mr. Philips Walkthrough and Gold Medal Checklist

Character: Trevor. Starts at Michael’s house after The Jewel Store Job; the action then moves to Blaine County.

Mr. Philips introduces Trevor as a playable character immediately after the jewellery heist. The main traps for gold are leaving Terry or Clay alive during the opening chase and allowing the last bikers to escape the trailer park. Deal with those targets as they appear instead of treating every enemy as interchangeable.

Step-by-step walkthrough

  1. Follow the Lost van and shoot the two riders

After the opening scenes, get into the Bodhi with Ron and Wade and drive to the Lost hangout in Grapeseed. The bikers flee when Trevor confronts them. Follow the van, keeping it in sight without destroying it: the van leads you to the next location.

Terry and Clay ride motorcycles alongside the escape vehicle. Use drive-by fire to kill both early in the chase for Lost and Damned. Aim at the riders rather than spending ammunition on their bikes. If you only follow the van, you can still reach the next objective, but you will miss this medal requirement.

  2. Clear the trailer park from cover

At the camp, move between solid cover and pick off the Lost members. Work towards the 12-headshot requirement while targets are standing or leaning out to shoot. Trevor’s special ability can help you survive exposed moments, but it does not aim for you.

Explosive gas containers are useful against groups. Balance those opportunities with the headshot target: an explosion can remove several enemies before you have earned enough headshots. Avoid charging down the centre of the park while both sides still have active shooters.

  3. Stop the fleeing bikers before leaving

As the resistance breaks, remaining bikers try to escape. Watch the map for their markers and deal with them immediately. Staying aware of the road exits is more reliable than searching cleared trailers for the last target.

No Survivors requires these fleeing enemies to die. Completing the main firefight does not automatically satisfy it. If a rider is already moving away, take a clear shot or pursue promptly rather than waiting for the next driving objective.

  4. Push Ortega’s trailer fully into the river

Drive with Ron to the riverside trailer and line up the front of the Bodhi behind it. Keep accelerating until the trailer goes fully into the water. A light tap or partial movement is not enough for the $5,000 Trailer Trashed target.

When Ortega confronts Trevor, either spare him or kill him to advance the scene. Then return Ron to his marked destination. For a timed attempt, skip the cutscenes and avoid unnecessary stops during both drives.

Gold medal checklist

  • No Survivors: Kill every biker who flees the trailer park. Prioritise escape markers as soon as they appear.
  • Headshots: Kill 12 enemies with headshots. Use the trailer-park fight to build the count.
  • Time: Finish within 12:00. Skip cutscenes and keep the driving sections direct.
  • Trailer Trashed: Cause $5,000 damage to Ortega’s trailer by pushing it fully into the river.
  • Lost and Damned: Kill Terry and Clay during the opening vehicle chase.

Common questions

Do I have to kill Ortega for gold?

No. The medal objectives concern the bikers, headshots, time and trailer damage. The confrontation can advance after either choice.

Why can’t I immediately switch back to Michael?

The story temporarily focuses on Trevor’s introductory missions. Continue his available missions to progress towards the reunion in Los Santos.
