Find a Cartel Cruiser
Look around Fort Staunton for the Cartel SUV before approaching the compound. Bring armour and a weapon suitable for a short firefight. The vehicle is your way through the entrance, so avoid arriving with it already smoking from street battles.

Enter and clear the compound
Drive through the gate in the Cruiser, then stop somewhere that leaves you an exit. Deal with the armed guards before searching the garages. Work from the perimeter rather than standing between several open firing angles; the car is useful transport, but it is not permanent cover once it starts burning.

Check the garages carefully
Open the garages and identify the captive before firing inside. His position is not a reason to spray every doorway with bullets. Kill the nearby guard without hitting the prisoner, then let the rescued man reach you. Avoid grenades or rockets around the garage that contains him.

Return with the passenger
Get into a usable car and wait until the associate is aboard. Drive back to Love Media in Bedford Point and enter the destination marker. If you need to change vehicles, give your passenger time to follow rather than accelerating away as soon as you reach the driving seat.
Key point
The gate vehicle and the rescue vehicle do not have to be the same car. Preserve the hostage first; a damaged Cruiser can be replaced once you are outside.
