Inspect the building and exit route
Travel to the marked witness-protection location with grenades and a pursuit vehicle. Identify the highlighted window and the route a car could use to leave. Park where your own car will not block your movement around the courtyard.

Throw a grenade through the window
Stand at a suitable distance and aim the throw into the opening. Adjust the distance if the grenade falls short or hits the wall. Move away from the landing area after each attempt so a bounce does not catch Claude in the blast.

React when the witness flees
Once the explosion flushes him out, switch attention to the vehicle marker. Get back into transport promptly or use a prepared firing position to damage the car before it gains speed.

Stop the escape
Follow the target through the streets and finish the mission's marked vehicle or occupant as required by the objective. Keep a safe gap from any burning car. The story continues from this apparent success in Ray's later missions.
Key point
The difficult part is triggering the escape cleanly. Take a moment to judge the window throw before repeatedly wasting grenades against the building's wall.
