Prepare before starting
Bring armour and enough ammunition for sustained vehicle damage. Once the timer begins, a detour to a gun shop consumes the time you need for the objective. Leave an escape vehicle nearby for after the mission.

Build the meter with vehicle destruction
Attack vehicles from a position with a clear field of fire. Concentrate on one until it is destroyed, then move to another. Spread-out bursts into many cars may leave several damaged vehicles without producing enough progress.

Avoid your own explosions
Keep a safe gap from burning cars and do not stand in a line of traffic that can ram Tommy. Move when police close in, using corners to prevent every officer from firing at once. Watch the chaos meter to see which actions are registering.

Finish the meter before disengaging
Keep pressure on the objective until the success message appears. Completing the mission does not guarantee that police attention disappears, so break away afterwards and save only once you are safely out of the confrontation.
