GTA 6 Extended Look Shows In-Game PS5 Footage
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look arrived on August 27, with Rockstar confirming that the presentation was captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5. The release gives players a longer official look at the game ahead of its November 19 console launch.
Where the presentation debuted
The extended look premiered on Netflix. Rockstar’s announcement scheduled its official YouTube channel and GTA VI website release for 9 p.m. Eastern Time later that day. An update to the same announcement confirms that the presentation became available on both of those channels.
The initial Netflix availability therefore did not make the video permanently exclusive to that service. The later update matters when reading the original release schedule.
What the capture statement confirms
Rockstar explicitly identifies PS5 as the capture platform and describes the material as in-game footage. That is more specific than a general cinematic teaser, but it is not a published technical specification for every console. The announcement gives no resolution target, frame-rate guarantee or performance-mode comparison.
The launch window remains November 19
The accompanying release information names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with November 19 still the announced date. No PC launch date is supplied in this announcement. The video is a preview; it does not open a public beta or early playable access.
