Start the mission at the apartment in Vespucci Beach. The confrontation inside is a story sequence rather than a combat challenge you need to win with a particular weapon. Skip the scenes during a timed attempt.
After Trevor comes outside, follow the objective to Wade. The mission continues with the drive; remaining at the apartment does not unlock an extra objective.

Drive Wade to the Vanilla Unicorn
Enter Trevor’s truck with Wade and take the marked route to the club. Keep the trip direct and avoid police attention from unnecessary collisions or attacks. There are no headshot, vehicle-damage or top-speed conditions to chase.
Brake early for the approach and stop at the marker. A clean run through traffic is enough for the short time requirement without needing an off-road shortcut.

Complete the club sequence
Enter the Vanilla Unicorn and follow Trevor through the remaining scene. The story then moves to Michael’s call with Lester about the Union Depository. Let the mission finish and check the results.
