Mission walkthrough

Prepare for a melee fight
Finish Bullion Run, restore health and armour, then answer D-Ice’s final call. This confrontation uses baseball bats rather than your normal gun collection. Go into it healthy; ammunition purchases will not compensate for being surrounded at close range.

Collect D-Ice’s brother
Follow the pickup marker and wait for the ally to join you. Take him to the battle location indicated by the objective. Keep him alive during the journey and do not start unrelated fights before reaching the intended confrontation.

Fight with the required bat
Use the baseball bat against the Purple Nines. Keep opponents in front of you and move around the edge of the group instead of standing in its centre. Strike at enemies who separate from the pack, then reposition before several attackers can swing at once.

Protect your ally and finish the group
Watch for enemies crowding D-Ice’s brother and help him without abandoning your own escape space. Continue until the remaining Purple Nines have been defeated and the mission result appears. Avoid switching to firearms or using a car to bypass the bat-fight rules.
Key point
Positioning matters more than frantic attacks. Isolate opponents where possible and keep enough room to step away from incoming swings.
