GTA Online Community Mission Series Begins with Old School Hits
GTA Online’s Community Mission Series will begin with Old School Hits on April 30, Rockstar announced on April 28. Created by GTA Series Videos and inspired by the original GTA trilogy, the featured mission brings player-built narrative content into a dedicated series on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Enhanced.
A featured series for custom missions
The Mission Creator already lets players build objectives, direct NPC behaviour and combine action with cutscenes. Missions can support up to eight players, with access to locations such as banks, the Cluckin’ Bell factory and the USS Luxington deck.
Old School Hits is the first featured Community Mission Series creation. Its launch promotion offers quadruple GTA$ and RP for a limited time; that multiplier is an event benefit, not a permanent rate for every custom mission.
How to start building
The route is Pause Menu → Online → Rockstar Creator → Create a Mission. Five Rockstar-made example missions demonstrate delivery objectives, disruption, stealth extraction, teamwork and branching choices. Players can complete the examples as jobs, then open them in the editor to inspect how they work.
Bookmarked creations appear under Online → Jobs → Play Job → Bookmarked. This provides a practical way to return to a mission without searching for it again.
Recognition for featured creators
Rockstar’s featured-creator rewards include a one-time GTA$10,000,000 award, a Community Series Varsity Jacket and a Mansion Trophy. Being able to publish a mission does not automatically qualify its creator for those rewards: the creation must be selected for the Community Series.
