Nervous Ron combines a controlled sniper sequence, a moving firefight and a low-altitude flight. Gold adds several tasks that are easy to miss during a normal completion: five headshots, every biker encountered while riding the wing, six bridges and a finish ahead of Ron.
Step-by-step walkthrough
-
Buy the sniper upgrades and reach the tower
Take the ATV to Ammu-Nation and buy the Sniper Rifle with the advanced scope and suppressor requested for the job. Continue to the airfield and climb the water tower. From this position, Trevor covers Ron as he moves among the buildings.
Follow Ron’s calls rather than firing at every distant silhouette. The stealth sequence depends on clearing the immediate threat without alerting the whole airfield too early.
-
Protect Ron with careful sniper shots
Shoot the guards and lights identified during Ron’s advance. Keep the scope on the area he is approaching, and wait for a clear line of fire when a target is beside a building or vehicle. Aim for heads to start the five-headshot objective here.
When the helicopter arrives, shoot its pilot. Destroying random parts of the aircraft is slower and less controlled. After the stealth portion ends, move down and fight towards the hangar with Ron.

Keep the aircraft level and line up bridge approaches before descending beneath a span. -
Clear the runway while riding the wing
Trevor rides on the wing as Ron taxis the aircraft. Watch both sides of the route and shoot every biker encountered during this section. Use explosive scenery where it clears clustered enemies, but keep looking for individual riders who survive.
Death on a Wing only concerns this particular section. Kills made earlier from the tower or later in the mission do not replace a biker missed while the aircraft is moving. Keep ammunition ready before the wing ride begins.
-
Fly low, drop the cargo and reach McKenzie first
Take the second Cuban 800, retract the landing gear and follow Ron towards the sea. Stay low when warned about radar, then release the cargo over the marked boats when the prompt appears. Turning too sharply near the surface leaves little room to recover.
After the drop, race Ron to McKenzie Field. For the six-bridge objective, use the river crossings available along the flight route and pass cleanly beneath each span. Approach straight and level; trying to turn underneath a bridge is far riskier than lining up outside it. Practise the bridge route on a separate replay if it costs the race.
Line up with McKenzie’s runway early, lower the gear and land under control. Taxi to the marked hangar to finish, rather than assuming that touching the runway ends the mission.
Gold medal checklist
- Headshots: Kill five enemies with headshots. The tower sequence provides controlled opportunities.
- Time: Complete within 12:30. Skip scenes and minimise delays between the ground and flight sections.
- Nervous Twitch: Win the race against Ron. Keep the return flight direct and avoid a long landing approach.
- 6 Bridges, 1 Plane: Fly underneath six bridges along the flight route. Clear the spans without hitting the structure.
- Death on a Wing: Kill all bikers during the section where Trevor rides on the plane wing.
Common questions
Do the bridge passes replace the cargo drop?
No. Complete the marked cargo delivery as well as any optional bridge passes. Follow the mission objective before committing to a detour.
Can I work on medal objectives in separate replays?
Yes. GTA V stores completed gold objectives across successful mission replays. A dedicated bridge attempt is easier than forcing every requirement into an unfamiliar flight.
