GTA 4: The Cousins Bellic Walkthrough

GTA IV walkthrough · Niko Bellic

Niko’s first job is simply to drive Roman home. Use this short opening to learn the handling before Liberty City starts sending traffic and pursuers into your path.

Mission walkthrough

  1. Leave the docks

After the arrival scene, enter Roman’s taxi and wait for him to settle into the passenger seat. Follow the yellow route from East Hook towards his apartment in Hove Beach. This is a guided introduction, so there is no need to find a different car or explore the restricted islands.

  2. Drive to the apartment

Brake before corners and accelerate once the taxi is straight again. GTA IV’s cars lean and slide more than GTA V’s; a late handbrake turn can put you on the pavement. The opening taxi also accelerates slowly, which is normal for this mission.

  3. Enter Roman’s home

Stop inside the destination marker and complete the apartment scene. The safehouse introduces saving and the wardrobe. Once the introduction ends, Roman’s next job begins the cab-depot storyline.

Key point

There is no gold-medal timer. Arriving in Roman’s taxi and completing the apartment scene are the objectives; speeding through the opening does not unlock a better reward.
