Wait for the decision stage
Complete the preceding jobs for Playboy and Dwayne, then let the phone conversations develop. The initial request is not the same as the final mission marker; follow the calls until both choices are available.

Option: kill Playboy X
Go to his penthouse, fight the armed men and pursue him across the escape route. Keep following through the streets until he is cornered. Killing him gives Niko the penthouse safehouse and allows Dwayne’s friendship to develop.

Option: kill Dwayne
Go to Dwayne’s apartment, deal with the immediate resistance and confront him inside. Playboy pays $25,000 afterward, but ends his relationship with Niko. This route does not give you the penthouse or Dwayne as a friend.
Key point
For lasting gameplay benefits, killing Playboy offers more than the cash-only alternative. Neither choice selects the final Deal or Revenge ending; that decision comes much later.
