Start the course deliberately
Meet Umberto at Café Robina, then take control of the boat for Rico's test. Cross the first checkpoint when ready. Use the opening straight to judge the steering response and how far the boat slides after a turn.

Follow every marker
Aim through the centre of each checkpoint and look towards the next one before reaching it. A missed checkpoint requires a costly turn back. The radar is helpful for direction, but the visible marker tells you the precise line through the water.

Set up the jumps
Straighten the boat before each ramp and carry enough speed to clear the obstacle. Avoid sharp steering at the ramp's edge, which can throw the boat sideways into a bank. After landing, settle the steering before accelerating into another bend.

Finish without beaching the boat
Reduce speed slightly in the narrow sections and keep the hull off the shoreline. If you clip a wall, correct early rather than holding full throttle against it. Continue through the final checkpoint before the countdown expires.
Key point
A clean ramp approach saves more time than an aggressive recovery after a bad jump. Restarting to learn a troublesome turn can help more than repeating the same full-speed line.
